Process

We try to make the commissioning process at Rip Caswell Sculptures as easy as a phone call.  Below is a brief overview of the common steps involved when commissioning a bronze.

  1. First meeting and gathering of client information about project and needs
  2. Research of subject and theme
  3. Presentation to client of detailed concept drawing(s)
  4. After approval of the detailed drawing, presentation to client of a model
  5. After approval of the model, presentation to client of the artwork in clay (the sculpture). After approval of the sculpture, casting begins. The Artist is involved in all stages of foundry work, including mold making, casting, tooling and patina.
  6. Presentation to client for approval of patina
  7. Assistance with placement and installation of artwork as required
